A personalized leadership experience that starts the moment you register.

You were trained to fly the airplane. Nobody trained you to navigate the person sitting next to you.

Every pilot has had a moment where they said something in the cockpit and watched it land completely wrong. The tension that followed. The silence. Walking off the airplane replaying the whole thing wondering what went wrong.

Your intentions were fine. They always are. But intentions are invisible. Impact is not.

This is a personalized leadership experience built around a one day virtual intensive. And it is built around helping you see the gap and close it. For good.

Good intentions do not make you a better leader. Knowing your impact does.

All Career Stages

From student pilot to captain. If you fly with others, this was built for you.

Virtual Format

Join from anywhere in the world. Live, interactive, and fully online.

Small Cohorts

No more than 12 pilots per session. Everyone gets seen. Nobody gets lost.

Lasting Impact

The experience starts the moment you register and the shifts you make stay with you long after the intensive ends.

The Real Problem

Every aviation professional has felt this. You can be sharp on procedures, solid on systems, and strong in the sim and still walk off an airplane knowing something went wrong with the person next to you.

A conversation that created more tension than it resolved. A moment where you stayed quiet when you should have spoken up. A decision that felt right but landed completely wrong with your crew. You replay it on the drive home, tell yourself you will handle it differently next time and then wonder why it keeps happening.

It keeps happening because nobody ever taught you the one thing that actually drives crew dynamics. The gap between what you intend and how you actually land on others.

That gap shows up in every cockpit, in every conversation, and in every moment that matters. And it is costing you more than you probably realize. Your reputation forms quietly. Opportunities pass without explanation. The left seat feels heavier than it should. Not because of your flying. Because of the gap.

You Already Know What Good Leadership Looks Like.

That is not the problem.

You have been through the training. You know you should speak up. You know you should stay calm under pressure. You know what good communication looks like.

The problem is that in a real moment, with a real person sitting next to you, none of that kicks in the way it should.

Because knowing what to do and knowing how you actually show up are two completely different things.

Most pilots spend their entire career never seeing that gap clearly enough to close it.

This experience changes that.

This Is Not More Information. This Is A Mirror.

Every course you have been through gave you information. Frameworks, tips, best practices, and things to remember. And then you got back in the cockpit and defaulted to the same patterns under pressure.

That is not a reflection of your effort. It is just how behavior change actually works. Information alone is rarely enough. Awareness is what creates the shift.

This experience is built around one thing. Helping you see exactly how you show up with the people around you so you can choose to show up differently. Not someday. On your next pairing. In the next conversation that matters.

That is what makes this different from everything else you have been through.

Six Ways You'll Show Up Differently

By the end of this experience you will be able to:

Communicate Under Pressure

Communicate clearly when tension is high, without shutting people down or losing your composure.

Resolve Conflict Constructively

Handle the hard moments without making them harder. Turn friction into forward movement.

Lead With Presence, Not Ego

Show up with the kind of calm authority that does not need a title to be felt.

Speak Up With Confidence

Say what needs to be said clearly and calmly whether you are in the right seat or the left.

Build Trust Faster

Become the pilot people want to fly with before the pressure even hits.

Make Better Decisions Under Pressure

Stay clear and deliberate when time is tight and the stakes are real.

Good intentions do not make you a better leader. Knowing your impact does.

Who Built This and Why

My first flight as an A320 captain was a wake up call.

Two hundred passengers, a late push, a passenger conflict and questions I did not have answers to yet. In that moment it became very clear that the hardest part of flying was not technical. It was human.

Nobody had taught me how to lead in those moments. I had been trained to fly the aircraft. Not to lead the people around me.

So I started doing the work. I began asking uncomfortable questions and looking inward instead of outward. I started to understand how I was actually showing up, not just what I intended. I realized I was being perceived as controlling when all I wanted was trust.

That shift changed everything. My communication improved. My crews became stronger. My relationships got better. And for the first time I felt like I was actually leading, not just holding a title.

I built First Class Leaders because I believe most pilots are exactly where I was. Technically strong. Quietly struggling with the human side of the job. And nobody is helping them close that gap.  That is what this experience is built to do.

The Take the Lead Guarantee

Complete your pre-work. Show up fully to the intensive. If you do not walk away with at least one clear shift in how you see yourself in the cockpit I will refund your investment in full.

No hoops. Just reply to your confirmation email within 7 days of the workshop.

The only way this does not work is if you do not do the work.

And if you show up the way I know pilots show up when something actually matters to them, that is not going to happen.

FAQ

Is this a live workshop or pre-recorded?

This is a live virtual intensive. You will be in a real session with one of our facilitators and no more than 12 other pilots. Everything is interactive. Nothing is pre-recorded.

Workshop dates are based on demand and are updated regularly as pilots register. Once you complete your pre-work inside the FCL app your calendar unlocks and you can choose the date that works best for you. You also have full flexibility to move yourself to a different session anytime if your schedule changes. No need to contact us.

No. This experience was built for any pilot who flies with others. Student pilots, instructors, First Officers, and Captains have all been through it and walked away with shifts they could apply immediately.

Reach out to us directly and we will do our best to accommodate you. That said we strongly encourage completing the pre-work first. Pilots who show up having done the pre-work get significantly more out of the intensive. The few steps it takes are worth it.

Yes. This is not CRM training. This is a personalized experience built around how you specifically show up. Most pilots who have done extensive CRM training tell us this was the first time anything actually stuck.

No problem. Contact us at admin@firstclassleaders.com at least 72 hours before your workshop date and we will move you to the next available session. Within 72 hours of the workshop we are unable to offer rescheduling or refunds as there is significant planning that goes into organizing each session. However you are welcome to transfer your seat to another pilot. Just reach out and we will take care of the rest.

CRM training tells you what good communication looks like. This experience shows you why yours is breaking down and gives you a personalized tool to fix it in real time. CRM is information. This is awareness. And awareness is what actually changes behavior in the cockpit. Most pilots who have been through extensive CRM training tell us this was the first time anything truly landed.

This experience is built for pilots and taught through the lens of aviation. The scenarios, the language, and the tools are all grounded in the flightdeck. That said the awareness and skills you build here apply to every relationship and every high stakes conversation you will ever have. We welcome anyone who wants to show up differently in their work and their life.

One last thing before you go.

Every pilot who has been through this experience says the same thing. They wish they had done it sooner. Not because it was easy. Because it changed how they show up in every cockpit, every conversation, and every moment that actually matters. You already know the gap is there. This is where you close it.

Good intentions do not make you a better leader. Knowing your impact does.
